Though we only had the chance to meet him a few times, it was clear to us what a remarkable person Morris was. He was resilient, kind and deeply proud of his family. Dear Cherie, Mrs. Rosenberg, Cynthia and your families, I am sorry to hear Mr. Rosenberg passed away today. Although your Dad always would insist I address him as Morris, I couldn''t. I always had way too much respect for him. Mr. Rosenberg lived a life so full of challenges which people couldn''t live in 10 lifetimes... living through the Holocaust until a teenager and somehow overcoming all of that to always be such a positive, family-loving, and such an incredible human being and accomplishing so much. He was truly the biggest mensch I ever had the honour of knowing and my kids know so much about him and how much he means to me. He shared great stories with me and regularly gave me great advice. Just knowing everything which Mr. Rosenberg had lived through and overcame and overcame and overcame with such strength, positivity and love everytime I would see him, I felt as honoured as I would be if I were meeting a great world leader. Mr. Rosenberg, my true friend and mentor, you will always be remembered, honoured, respected in the highest regard and loved dearly by me and my family.

He was in many respects one of the last pillars of the wilderness generation. With his passing all those who knew him but particularly your family feel his absence, his steady and sustained presence.
