Dear Zucker Family, When I think of Carolyn from Bialik days, I remember her smile, sense of fun, and her love of sports. I remember her reassuring me when I too reacted to the armoured statue in the hall of her home. Before the Bialik reunion in 2019, we had a great call where she shared happy stories about her life. Our hearts are heavy as we find ourselves extending condolences to Carolyn’s entire family and all those who came to love her throughout her life. We only wish we could carry it all away. We remember the laughter shared every time we spoke. Carolyn had such a wonderful sense of humour. The boys loved playing with Charlie and hanging out with cousin Carolyn. As children we spun dreidels, hunted for the afikoman and dressed up to party for Purim. Her memory will be a blessing for many.

To the Zucker Family, As a Bialik friend, Carolyn was the best. We spent a lot of time together and had so much fun. She had a beautiful smile. We laughed a lot. I remember each time I went to the house on Vesta she told me not to be afraid of the big armored statue in the hall. She once took me to a house on a private island where we spent a weekend. I also saved all the letters she sent me from camp and the notes we exchanged during classes when we were supposed to be paying attention. The shenanigans and good times we shared have provided wonderful memories. I bumped into her a few years back, and was so excited to see her. I am deeply sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace and may her memory be for a blessing.

As we process our overwhelming grief for the loss of a dear sister, auntie, and sister-in-law, we wish to express our condolences to those who also deeply loved Carolyn and who were similarly devoted to her, like her husband, Larry, and, especially, Dr. Bernard and Carole Zucker, who are beyond devastated by this loss and who''ve been endlessly supportive to Larry in this dark time, which is an enormous blessing and a mitzvah in the name of a beloved daughter. Her bubbly spirit remains with us, along with her smile which often hid sensitive psychic bruises that were too painful for her to touch.
