Dear Loraine Dov and Family I only learned of Rhonda’s untimely death yesterday and am so saddened by the news. I remember her as a beautiful smiling student with a head of beautiful curls. Dear Rafi, Tal, Karen, Matan, Yarden and family, We were very sorry to hear about Rhona. We have fond memories of Bialik days when our son, Adam played with Yarden and Matan. Rhona was one of the moms with whom I shared a lovely connection. Her warmth and friendliness always stood out. We saw the boys not that long ago at a wedding and in talking to them, it became apparent that the apple does not fall far from the tree. Please accept our sincere condolences. Dov, Lorraine, Ilan and family, I am so saddened to hear about Rhona’s passing. I heard about her valiant fight to live with her MS and the support that the whole family provided for her. She was an old friend from Bialik and CHAT and we did many school projects together as we grew up. I remember that we also travelled together for the National Chidon Hatanach in Montreal where she was the winner!! Dear Rafi, Mr. & Mrs. Levin, Ilan, Tal, Karen, Matan, Yarden & families- today is a day I hoped would never come. The enormity of the loss is immeasurable for everyone, and I share in your grief, sadness, & loss. Rhona was such an important & integral figure in my life- since kindergarten at Bialik we’ve been close friends. I don’t remember when I didn’t know her. A myriad of memories that I savor & cherish. The picture of Rhona on this site is exactly as I see her in my mind’s eye- smiling, laughing, engaged in life, with a huge heart to match her beautiful smile. I am so sorry not to be there in person although I am with you in spirit. Sending love & strength in this time of grief and I hope that you take solace from all the love that surrounds you. I remember Rhona as the big sister of my classmate, Ilan, at Bialik back in the day. I remember her because she always had a bright smile and was a genuinely nice person. She stood out in a crowd as a result. I am sorry for your loss

Rhona was very dear to me through our time in Bialik, later in engineering, then in Israel, then back in Toronto, and in between when she influenced my life in a major way with the student work program at Philips, the Netherlands. Rhona, beautiful human being. You became a dear cousin to me. You, gibor Rafi, and your wonderful parents Lorraine and Dov welcomed me and Sergio in Toronto like close family. Lorraine and Dov, you became our friends and family – you practically adopted us. How many yom-tovim together, dinners and chats we had together. Book discussions, reminiscences, never enough time for us to share in all that your wonderful family offered. We saw Tal, Karen, Yarden and Matan grow up and become and successful and complete grownups they are. And Karen gave you the gift of Raya. Rhona, your smile will always feel around, and we hope it can comfort everyone that grieves your loss now. You taught us all what resilience is at levels no one could have imagined, and Rafi, Lorrane and Dov have inspired us all. I will always remember Rhona''s warm smile and mischievous combined with her intelligence and quick wit. We went to Chalilrecorder lessons as kids together laughing all the way. This comes as quite a shock. We came to know Rhona at U of T Engineering. She participated in Skule Nite™ and was a delightful and talented member of the cast. Her smile radiated from the stage and at rehearsals. Her presence was enjoyed by everyone. We sent our kids to violin classes together and her company was always enjoyed - just not often enough. Family busy-ness kept us apart though we always wanted to get together. What a loss. May her memory be a blessing.

So sorry for your loss and so terribly sad to hear of Rhona’s passing. My memories of Rhona started since we were little - as classmates from grade school at Bialik and beyond. She was one the brightest students, had the kindest heart, and always had an easy laugh.
