Dear Yehudi and Family, My deepest sympathies on the passing of Sonia. I have many fond memories of her, getting together at holidays, or just visiting the shul gift shop for a chat with my mum. When Rose was born, Sonia gave her a beautiful heart pendant to wear, from an Israeli artist, chosen from the gift shop. Rose wears that heart today. We will think of her often and miss her dearly. May your memories be for a blessing.

We wanted to express our deepest sympathies to Yehudi, Sindi, Joel, and the rest of the family. Altho we have not seen Sonia in the past few years, we remember her as a strong person with incredible taste. Seeing Sonia light up when the kids came to say hi in the balcony, and watch her grandkids grow through lifecycle events at Beth Emmeth, gave us a preview of the nachis (we could only dream of experiencing). The gift shop at the Shule always attractive with interestedly designed unique items. these reflected Sonia’s personality. Always well put together with grace and finesss. Baruch Dyan Emmet

My family and I are delivering bundles of loving condolences in your direction. Sonia and I became best of buddies during our middle school years. Later on, we were bridesmaids at each other''s wedding. It is rare to have the many attributes that Sonia had. She was so very warm, kind, savvy. generous, and the epitome of a fabulous mensch. Sonia, sadly, had such a rare, entirely miserable disease, and yet she hung in there, through thick and thin. My family and I are delivering boat loads of love and support as you struggle with the loss of Sonia. Dear Yehuda and family, I have many years of memories of Sonia sitting in front of us on the balcony during high holidays- she beamed when her children and grandchildren came to see her and Yehudi. She was such a fun and warm presence at shul and I personally learned so much from her by volunteering in the gift shop. Her love and dedication to family were always evident - truly a role model.
