Rita Aber passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 26, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Archie Aber and sister and sister-and-law of the late Jerry and the late Gloria Melman. A devoted mother to Elayne and Jay Aber, and a cherished mother-in-law to Audrey. She was the adored, fun-loving Bubs to Adam, Rachel, and Brian, a role she treasured deeply. Rita loved to laugh and spend time with her close friends and family. A successful entrepreneur and an avid world traveller, she approached life with curiosity, warmth, and enthusiasm, and was a true role model to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Sandra, Lila, and Jean for their exceptional care, kindness, and friendship.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Monday December 29 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Burial the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery.
