    Notice: 
    Joel Rutenberg passed away on December 29, 2025 at the age of 86. He was a devoted husband to Susan, with whom he shared fifty years of marriage. Joel was a loving father and father- in-law to Marni and David, Michelle and Danny, Jenny and Ian, and Dani and Andrew, and to his son Jeffrey. He was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren -- Bryce, Kylie, Izzy, Austin, Wolf, Jack, Thea, Logan, and Rachel - -whom he loved more than anything. Throughout his life, Joel embraced adventure and curiosity. His life was filled with family, meaningful work, and enduring relationships. Family was always at the center of his world, and he showed up with warmth, humour, and care. Alongside his family life, he pursued business endeavours with dedication and integrity. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence and generous spirit. Joel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
